This page began when I (Tim) decided to learn a little bit about HTML. I wanted to produce something that would hopefully be useful to someone and of interest to me, and so the Kenya Page was born in 1996. It has since grown to about 100 pages on varying aspects of Kenya and has become a well used source for students, travelers, and others.
I went to Kenya for the first time when I was four years old. My parents were in the Southern Baptist Mission and we lived in Kenya for the next fourteen years. Our first years were spent in Nyeri, a pleasant town not too far outside of Nairobi. We then moved to Kitale (on the Uganda border) for two and a half years. Our final years in Kenya were in Mombasa, with its beautiful white sand beaches. After graduating from Rift Valley Academy, I left Kenya for the U.S. to attend university, law school and engineering school. I now practice intellectual property law. I returned for a summer a few years ago, and hopefully my wife and I will pay Kenya a visit in the not too distant future.
Kenya is a country of true natural beauty and incredible variety, a country of gameparks and beaches, a country of culture and history. Hopefully these pages will refresh the memories of some and stir the interest of others.
Enjoy!
